Managing Partner
Hank is a managing partner for The Wilshire Group and was a founder of the firm in 2007. Hank is responsible for the firm’s strategic direction, client management, human capital development and ensuring project success.
Hank has over 25 years of experience in the field of healthcare financial management and is experienced in both Finance and Accounting as well as Revenue Cycle Management. His responsibilities have included Accounting, Finance, Patient Accounting, Health Information Management, Information Services, Charge Master and Charge Capture. He has managed the operations for large academic medical centers and multi-facility health systems and successfully managing numerous revenue cycle improvement projects. Hank was one of key leads for a large academic medical center that was an early adopter of Epic’s revenue cycle application participating in the selection and implementation in 2009. Hank has spent the past 7 years implementing and optimizing Epic’s revenue cycle applications and has developed a unique set of skills to quickly identify opportunities to optimize a client’s workflows and system build across the revenue cycle ensuring integrity, efficiency and minimal revenue leakage.
Hank holds a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from California Polytechnic State University and earned his CPA license shortly after graduation. Hank has worked in healthcare, almost exclusively with providers, since beginning his career with KPMG Peat Marwick in their Los Angeles office. Hank is a member of the Southern California Chapter of HFMA and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and recently served as the Chairman of the Hospital Association of Southern California’s provider task force. Hank has presented at several HFMA and Epic UGM/XGM conferences and has had client’s recognized as an Epic Best Performer.
